When it comes to engagement photography, the winter season can be a challenging time to shoot. However, if you choose the right location and are prepared for the cold weather, it can also be an incredibly rewarding and magical experience. One such location is Podere Panico, situated in the breathtaking countryside of Siena. The rolling hills, rustic architecture, and serene atmosphere make it a picture-perfect spot for engagement photography.
Recently, I had the privilege of photographing Ammy and Simon’s engagement session at Podere Panico. Despite the cold weather, we were blessed with some of the most beautiful light I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. For two days, we worked together to create a series of stunning images that truly captured the essence of their relationship.
On the first day of the shoot, we started at sunset, and the warm, golden light of the setting sun created a magical atmosphere that perfectly complemented the love and joy that Ammy and Simon shared. They were all smiles, snuggling up together as we captured the perfect shots.
The second day of the shoot began at dawn, and while the weather was even colder, the early morning light was simply breathtaking. The soft light of the sunrise created a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the winter scenery added a sense of intimacy and magic to the photos.

In the end, the photos we captured at Podere Panico were nothing short of magical.
